STAMPED CONCRETE

Below you will see the different terminology used in stamped concrete design.  This will help you in making your decisions and understanding the process from start to finish.

STAMPED CONCRETE:
Stamped Concrete can add elegance and a whole new look to your home or business.  Stamped Concrete with integral and release colors produce a surface similar to natural stone, brick, slate and other natural paving materials.  Base color is achieved through integral color pigments in the concrete mix .  A powdered color releasing agent is used in the stamping process and insures maximum surface detail while providing a second color for surface highlights and distinctive grout line looks.

Only highly trained ACI Contractors should perform all stamped work to meet the requirements for placement and concrete surfaces.  This includes sub-grade preparation and forming concrete.

RELEASE AGENTS:
A powdered release agent is a dry blend of chemical pigments, used to achieve accent colors and various color variations to textured surfaces in stamped concrete.

INTEGRAL COLOR:

Integral colors are permanent, uniform and streak free coloring for all concrete projects.  All colors are achieved with gray cement.

COLORS:
Color Charts may vary from actual colors.  Variations in color may occur due to the difference in sand, coarse aggregates and water-cement ratio.
